Monday, March 28

Looking for green but still seeing bare. Enjoying his first normal set of shifts in a long time. Pizza English muffins are calling.

Sunday, March 27

I'm happy to see the snow disappear. I want to see her run in the grass.

Saturday, March 26

The window clings have been a great distraction for her. Especially the monkey.

Friday, March 25

I've wanted to make a butterfly collage for a long time now. One day I just did it. A collection of scrap paper, a punch, and glue.

Thursday, March 24

It's been warm enough to hang out on our patio at midday. I love that she likes the chalk drawing.

Wednesday, March 23

They tasted pretty good for March strawberries. I really like this 100mm macro lens.

Tuesday, March 22

It's only taken me over a year to add the frames. (Will change the photos in the frames).

Monday, March 21

I decided that I did really want the wire in the kitchen. An easy-to-change art wall. "Dora-Dora" is a hit.

Sunday, March 20

Thoroughly enjoying completing small projects that don't take too long.

Saturday, March 19

Planning and hoping for the presence of green things.

Friday, March 18

I love these shadows. One of the best parts of Winter.

Thursday, March 17

Her first experience with raisins in little red boxes. It was an instant hit. I now have Cheerios and raisins ground into my socks.

Tuesday, March 15

Monday, March 14

Sometimes it has an extraordinary power to redeem a day.

Sunday, March 13

Saturday, March 12

Friday, March 11

Wow! That's what we say when we open up her curtains, because it just keeps snowing. This is the kitchen window.

Thursday, March 10

My second Buttercup Bag. Love this pattern. I used fusible interface for the first time, with this bag, so it's nice and sturdy. Thought it looked nice with her boots.

Wednesday, March 9

My first batch of homemade play dough. She didn't really know what to do with it but like the worms I made with it.

Tuesday, March 8

It's so nice to have a piece of bright green in the kitchen. I've been thinking a lot about grass. Wondering if it really still exists under the snow.

Sunday, March 6

My first Buttercup Bag. Made with fabric I didn't really like (so mistakes wouldn't be too painful). Turns out the only "mistake" made was in the pattern.

Saturday, March 5

She's sick again. Man-sized boogers and all congested. We had a rough night. Hopefully tonight will be a little better.

Friday, March 4

Trying to find a good setup for taking photos of the aprons. It makes me want real hardwood floors instead of laminate and white walls. Just for taking photos.

Thursday, March 3

He called me to get my camera and this is what I found. She usually reads during diaper changes, but this book is a little bigger than the usuals.

Wednesday, March 2

When she wants to be goofy, she sticks out her tongue.

Tuesday, March 1

She puts things into other things and drags them around, like her favourite Clifford dog. Our house is a maze of socks, board books, shoes, and Cheerios.

Monday, February 28

She loves these pants. I held her up by the mirror so she could see the kitty on her butt.

Sunday, February 27

Cutting out fabric for aprons. I have really enjoyed making these, but I think I'm ready for a new project. I want a pattern for a girl's-sized purse.

Saturday, February 26

Waiting at the gate in the family room for Daddy. Sometimes we put extra clothes on her because it's been cold and drafty here. (-20 cold)

Friday, February 25

I like schedules. I like to know what the plan is. Ha.

Thursday, February 24

Cutting out fabric for making preschooler-sized aprons. Why are sock monkeys so funny-looking?

Wednesday, February 23

So, she wants to feed herself. Of course, this had to happen at some point. She's actually pretty good, but she really likes stirring the food, and overloading the spoon.

Tuesday, February 22

Still enjoying Valentine's roses, and of course, the sunshine.

Monday, February 21

She loves reading this book I made with family photos. She calls it "hi-da" because her favourite photos are Daddy. She almost cried when I took off her tutu.

Sunday, February 20

This is probably the only thing that looks like Spring around these parts. We're still under at least a foot of snow (though it melts on the roads).

Saturday, February 19

She loves scrambled eggs with cheese and spinach. I wonder when I'll have to hide veggies in her food.

Friday, February 18

Now that she can chew (mostly, but she'd prefer to just swallow) she can eat fun snacks like these tiny penguin crackers. Now I bring snacks with me everywhere.

Thursday, February 17

I'm really enjoying these long winter shadows on our walls. It sort of makes up for so much snow and more snow.

Wednesday, February 16

He brought me the best looking roses. I love the part where they curl in tight. xoxo

Tuesday, February 15

I went to the lake to take pictures. It was utterly quiet. Could have seemed extra quiet because I didn't bring the 15-month old Little Banshee with me.

Monday, February 14

My mom came to visit and baked. :) We even managed to share some with neighbours.

Sunday, February 13

Happy pre-Valentine's Day. I tried this photo shoot idea a couple years ago but it turned out too dark (I didn't know how to shoot manually).

Saturday, February 12

She has current favourite books. We are required to read them several times before we can move on to other books.

Friday, February 11

It's been cold and crisp and the dry cough still lingers.

Thursday, February 10

Our little snow bunny. She can walk on her own but the snow is pretty slippery so she wants to hold our hands.

Wednesday, February 9

She loves to "model" random pieces of clothing she finds. Then she does the loop. It's like a mini parade or fashion show.

Tuesday, February 8

Monday, February 7

My cards arrived today; it was very exciting. The pearl paper and coated finish is worth the extra cost - better than the recycled paper. Ordering more today.
